Zeiss, a leading global optics and optoelectronics technology company, has completed construction of its new 208,000 square foot, R&D, production, sales and customer service site in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Zeiss Innovation Center is an integral part of the Zeiss global strategy to expand its presence close to research centers and growth markets.
The exterior of the three-story, green building, features aluminum & glass facades. The 57,000 square feet of unitized curtain wall (Bagatelos) incorporates more than 8,600 square feet of 15” deep vertical glass fins fabricated by GlasPro. The fins, which vary in length around the entire structure, are made of tempered laminated glass of multiple layers.
