A large technology company in Kirkland, Washington, recently expanded its campus with a new building that doubles its office space. The new section is connected to the existing buildings by a covered skybridge featuring GlasPro Bird Safe UV glass on the railings and walls.
Lacey Glass, Inc. selected GlasPro to provide the bird-friendly glazing product. The bridge is made up of over 1,000 square feet of tempered and laminated Bird Safe UV glass. Our bird-friendly product is designed to prevent collisions with glass while meeting safety standards and maintaining the human visual experience with its high transparency. Learn more on the GlasPro Bird Safe UV page.
The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections encourages builders, homeowners, and others to voluntarily consider best practices for bird-friendly building design and construction. Among the best practices is installing bird-safe glass to reduce bird mortality.
