The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) opened a public outdoor observation deck, the SkyTerrace, in Terminal 2 offering 180-degree views of the busiest section of SFO, where all four runways intersect. The Sky Terrace features 3/8” low iron, tempered, GlasPro Bird Safe glass panels with effective ultraviolet reflective patterns making the glass visible to birds but highly-transparent to the human eye. Bird Safe glass provides wind protection and open views of the skies and active runways. The space was constructed to LEED Gold standards.
