GlasPro was selected by South Town Glass to fabricate over 50 Bird Safe UV Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) for the Oregon Humane Society’s new Community Veterinary Hospital.
In 2023 the Oregon Humane Society Portland expanded its campus to bolster the organization’s national leadership ability in animal welfare. The expansion comprises two buildings designed by Scott Edwards Architecture; one houses the Community Veterinary Hospital, and the other houses the Behavior Modification and Rescue Center.
The Community Veterinary Hospital is public-facing and intentionally organized for the efficiency, comfort, and safety of both animal patients and their humans. Natural light fills the entire space and expansive windows with bird-safe glazing give plenty of open sight lines to the outdoors. GlasPro Bird Safe UV glass helps prevent bird-window collisions while being highly transparent to the human eye. Our glass is proven to effectively deter birds, improve energy efficiency, meet safety standards, and maintain the human visual experience.
