GlasPro’s SpecReps – Decorative Architectural Products team Lisa Bell and Linda Leser fought the heat to meet and greet players at the Eklund’s, Inc

The late Obert C. Tanner had a passion for beautification and for giving back to the community. His vision was carried on when the firm he founded spent over $25 million to restore a former public landmark, and transformed it into a commercial jewelry store.
The east wall of the building, the original of which was destroyed when the star theater of the old planetarium was installed, has been rebuilt in large panels of fritted, point supported glass and etched limestone. Three repeated motifs march across both glass and stone on separate levels: an early photograph of the library’s interior, a portrait of O.C. Tanner and a spiral galaxy. This homage to the building’s history is one of the renovation’s crowning achievements.
