Artist Christopher Janney created the interactive sculpture located at the south side of Terminal D at the Dallas International Airport. The unique art piece consists of a labyrinthine pattern on the floor in colored terrazzo and curved glass walls interspersed with bursts of sound along the paths.
“My thought was to create a game of some sort… I then considered labyrinths and their historical significance… as a result, my concept is to allow a person to step out of the airport environment.”
GlasPro executed the artist’s artistic vision utilizing 1″ curved and laminated Starphire glass in conjunction with the GlasPro Color Toolbox. Each unit was hand crafted to ensure that the concentric circles maintained their integrity and the artists full vision realized.
